We are seeking a motivated Branch Manager to be based on-site at our Grand Island, Nebraska location. As Branch Manager, you will focus on operations, inventory management, and customer service while also supporting sales growth. This role currently manages 3 other employees while working strongly cross functionally with sales and leadership.

Our ideal candidate brings:

  • Strong knowledge of the agriculture industry.
  • Proven sales along with inventory management and control.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows and related applications, as well as ERP order entry systems.
  • High School degree or GED required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Ability to work every other Saturday for a half day.

What you will be doing:
Customer Service:

  • Uphold a high standard of customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
  • Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service.

Operational Excellence:

  • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming retail store environment.
  • Implement cost-effective measures to enhance operational efficiency.

Inventory Management:

  • Work with Group Purchasing to monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to maintain a diverse and high-quality product offering.
  • Follow inventory control procedures to minimize losses and improve overall efficiency.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, manage and retain a small but dedicated team of inside sales/warehouse associates.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and individual development.
  • Set performance goals and provide regular feedback to ensure team members meet or exceed expectations.

Product Knowledge:

  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of agriculture and propane parts and equipment.
  • Train and educate staff on product features, benefits, and applications.
  • Provide expert assistance to customers, addressing inquiries and offering solutions based on their specific needs.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Work with outside sales team and management to develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Work closely with the sales team to build and maintain strong customer relationships.


Supervisory Responsibilities
Has supervisory responsibilities for inside sales/warehouse personnel, as well as administrative responsibilities for outside sales personnel supporting the region.
